About the Year-End Check 2026
The Year-End Check looks at which actions before 31 December make a difference for you: investing and the small-scale investment allowance (KIA), annuity premiums and your annual allowance, dividend and your salary as a director-shareholder (DGA), your current account with the BV, and the free allowance of the work-related costs scheme. For each topic you see whether it applies to you and what it means in euros, with what is already law and what is still a plan. You see your result straight away; the full advice report comes free by email.
For anyone with a Dutch BV or sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) who wants to know what to arrange before the end of the year.
Calculated with the 2026 Dutch tax rules and rates of the Belastingdienst (Dutch Tax Administration), and the plans for 2027 as currently known. The result is an indication based on your answers.
Questions we often get
What should I arrange as a director-shareholder before 31 December?
Look at least at your salary (the customary salary), dividend, your current account with the BV, the free allowance of the work-related costs scheme and planned investments. Which ones matter depends on your figures. The check lists them for you.
Should I still invest for the investment allowance?
Only if you need the investment anyway. The small-scale investment allowance depends on the total you invest in a year, so the year in which you buy something can matter. The check calculates it with your amounts.
Can I still pay annuity premiums for 2026?
Yes, within your annual allowance (jaarruimte). It depends on your income and your pension accrual. The check shows whether you have room and what paying in means for your net income.
Should I pay out dividend before the end of the year?
That depends on your profit, your other income and the box 2 rates this year and next year. The check compares it for your situation.
Is the check also for a sole proprietorship?
Yes. The check first asks which form you have and only shows the topics that apply to you.
· StartAndGrow is in beta: the calculation is real, but we are still testing the checks.
